Market Manipulation

Have you experienced getting stopped out by a tick or 2, only to see price move in your anticipated direction shortly after?

This is a topic that is rarely discussed in the retail trading community and it's the reason why I'm not a fan of using stop orders. I use mental stops and will only close my position if the trade fails.

Here's a perfect example from just earlier!

This accounted for a significant portion of profits for me today.

I have marked my short entry, market poked it's head above three times by 1, 2 and 3 ticks. Most traders using stop orders were kicked out of their short positions the first, second and third time.

 

This was a clear play of market manipulation by market makers, and yes they do it all the time. So,

instead of getting upset, you need to learn a trading approach that takes all this into consideration.
